A small lighted telescope called a ureteroscope is inserted into the urethra and guided into the ureter or kidney to the stone. A laser is then passed through the ureteroscope to break the stone into small pieces that are removed from the body.
The urethra, ureter, and kidneys are all parts of your urinary system. If they are damaged by an illness, injury, or other medical condition, a surgery can repair and reconstruct them.
The Urolift™ System uses a specialized stapling device to lift and hold enlarged prostate tissue out of the way so that it no longer blocks the urethra.
