La disfonía espasmódica es un trastorno neurológico crónico poco común que causa espasmos en las cuerdas vocales e interrumpe la capacidad de crear sonido. Los síntomas pueden comenzar lentamente, con la voz tensa con pausas al hablar. Los síntomas se desarrollan con el tiempo hasta que el habla es difícil de entender.
